Florence Gascon Highland, 77, a homemaker, and Jacob Alapaki Highland, 83, an Air Force veteran, both of Novato, Calif., will be remembered in committal services 2 p.m. Sept. 16 at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. They died in Novato. He was a member of the inaugural U.S. Olympic volleyball team in 1964. She was born in Honomu, Hawaii. He was born in Honolulu. They are survived by sons Michael and Ken; daughters Puanani Wilson, Iwalani Stover and Karen Roberts; and 11 grandchildren. Casual attire. Lei welcome.
