Toshiaki "Buff" Hayashida, 90, of Hilo, a retired Hawaii County Police Department captain and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Life Care Center of Hilo. He was born in Laupahoehoe, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Dora, son Jon, daughter DeeJay Driver, sister Nora Maeda and four grandchildren. Private services. No flowers. No monetary offerings.
