74Iwao Shimono, 88, of Kapaau, Hawaii, a retired Kohala Sugar Co. welder and Hawaii Preparatory Academy maintenance employee, died at home. He was born in Kapaau. He is survived by wife Yoshie, sons Darryl and Mark, sister Toshiko Murakami and a great-grandchild. Private services.
