Herbert I. Ohta, 93, of Pearl City, a Hawaiian Western Steel Ltd. retiree and an Army interpreter in Japan following World War II, died in Pearl City. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Mary Anne; sons Scott, Craig and Cory; sisters Lillian Tominaga, and Dorothy and Janet Ohta; and two grandchildren. Private services.
