James “Popps” “Uncle Jim” Edward Werley
James "Popps" "Uncle Jim" Edward Werley 81, of Hilo, died on September 29, 2016 at his residene. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 11, 1935. He was a retired member of the US Coast Guard. He is survived by son, Kimo Werley; daughters Laura Ann Milar and Iva Mata; sister June Bentley; companion Marla Masolini; 6 granchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 12-3pm at Coconut Island in Hilo.
