George ApduhanGEORGE APDUHAN George Apduhan, 84, of Mililani, Hawaii, passed away at home with his family by his side on Thursday, October 6, 2016. George was born on February 22, 1932, in Mana, Kauai, and was predeceased by his daughter Lynda Lei Peterson. He proudly served his country and is a Veteran of the United States Air Force. George spent his lifetime career in the Home Construction and Building Products Industries. He served as the founder and president of several companies including: Ace Glass and Metals, Builder's Products, Gem Construction, Hawaii Pacific Lumber (dba Timber Town) and Double Phoenix Corp. He worked as a self-employed project coordinator for residential homes up until his death. George was active in his community serving on the Board of Water Supply for the City and County of Honolulu; as a budget committee member for Aloha United Way; as a Director for the Hawaii Economic Development Corporation; as a Director for the International Filipino Garden at the East West Center; and as Chairman of the Board of the Filipino Contractor's Association. George is survived by his wife of 64 years, Miyoko, son George Jr. (Jodi), daughter Susan Ignacio (Robert), brother Fred Apduhan, sister Rose Rabago, four grand- children: Trysha Bodden, Jordan Apduhan, Noah Ignacio and Isaac Ignacio, and five great- grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary, 94-560 Kamehameha Hwy., Waipahu, in the Mauka Chapel on Saturday, November 12, 2016. Visitation will be from 5:30 PM followed by a Celebration of Life at 6:30 PM. Casual attire.
