8-13-1956 ~ 9-25-2016 Gresham, Oregon resident Liz DeLima died on September 25, 2016 at the age of 60. A memorial mass will be held on December 3, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Hearts Academy Chapel. Elizabeth Philberta DeLima was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Edward and Geraldine DeLima. She spent her childhood years living Kailua and Kahaluu and from age 5 to 10 lived in Portland, Oregon. Liz attended high school at Sacred Hearts Academy, graduating in 1974. She then received her Bachelor's Degree from University of Portland in 1978. Liz would eventually volunteer for the American Heart Association, which lead to a career in fundraising and finally as a senior vice president in the Diversity Division of American Heart Association. In 2009, Liz suffered a heart attack on Thanksgiving morning, then 10 days later had a stroke which left her with left side neglect. After 6 1/2 years of struggling with her weakening heart, Liz went to sleep and then joined Christ on September 25, 2016. Survivors include; mother, Geraldine DeLima; brothers, Leslie, Edward, David and Christopher; sister, Cathy; 7 nephews, 6 nieces, 1 great niece and many, many cousins and friends.
