Leonard George Fernandes, 83 of Honolulu, a graduate of University High School, a retired Electrical Supervisor for Halfhill Electric and member of IBEW Local Union 1186 died at Kuakini Hospital on November 6. He is survived by his wife Claire Jean Heu Fernandes. Children Leona Palmer (Harry), Debi Ozawa Kniriem, Laurie Fernandes, Stacy Fernandes, Leonard PR Fernandes (Amaryllis). Grand- children Christina Hopkins (Kama), Melissa Powers Stolfus (Hans), Chad Palmer (Valli), Brant Powers, Trevor Ozawa (Nietzsche), Becca Ozawa Siemon (Patrick), Ivy Fernandes, Lowen Fernandes, and Zoe Fernandes. Great Grandchildren Kepa Fuentes (Audreanna), Kamalani Hopkins, Keahonui Hopkins, Kayla Fuentes, Kamalia Hopkins, Nixyn Palmer, Teagyn Palmer, and London Ozawa. Great great grandchild Elizabeth Nishiguchi-Fuentes. Siblings Arnold Fernandes (Patricia), Yvonne Cochran (Lee), the late Odetta Hudiburgh (Bill), and Roy Fernandes (Janice). Visitation: 4:30pm on Saturday November 26, 2016 at Nuuanu Memorial Park and Mortuary East Chapel. Service to follow at 6:00pm. Burial: 10:45 am on Monday November 28, 2016 at Nuuanu Memorial Park.
