Passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the age of 99. The eldest daughter of 16 children, Lani was born on March 11, 1917 to Alina and Fong Hing in Honolulu. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1936 and married her sweetheart, Edward Lim, on Christmas Day in 1944, in San Francisco, CA. Together they raised two boys, Larry and Warren. Lani had an active, vibrant life, full of love and service. She was active in her family businesses Acme and Sealy Mattress Companies and Vacations Unlimited. She traveled to six continents, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She cherished attending her LDS Church activities, serving in the LDS Hawaii Temple and the Family History Center. Her example of compassionate service will be remembered by all. She was loved by her sons Larry (Katie) and Warren (Liz), 8 grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren, and siblings Albert, Harold, Charlie, Clarence, Ella, Raymond, Leonard, Gloria, Vivien, Audrey, James, Lorraine, Mildred, and Kenneth. Memorial services will be held on Friday, Dec. 2, Visitation 10AM; Service 11AM at Kahala LDS Chapel at 4847 Kilauea Avenue. Aloha Attire.
