Gregorio Mones, 95, of Oahu peacefully passed away at sunrise on October 29. Originally from Paniqui Tarlac, Philippines,"Eriong" fought in WWII in the U.S. Army surviving the 65-mile Bataan Death March and as a Prisoner of War in the Philippines. He retired from Hickam Air Force Base proudly serving as an aircraft mechanic and technical metal engineer for 34 years. He was predeceased by his two young sons, Angel and William. He is survived by his wife, Valentina, three daughters, Cresencia (Benjamin), Evangeline (Lincoln), Thelma (Ronald), son, George (Kay), 10 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at St. John the Baptist Church, 2324 Omilo Ln. on Monday December 5th at 10 AM. Burial will be at Hawaiian Memorial Park in the State Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe at 1 PM
