57, passed away on December 15, 2016. Born in Honolulu, Boya was an old-time Waikiki Beach Boy. Survived by daughter Mika, mother Etsuko,brother Allen (Cris), sisters Carol and Barbara Heckathorn, nieces and nephews, best friend Kimo Kaleiwahea,as well as numerousclose surfing brothers and sisters. Beach services will be held on Feb. 4 at 7:30 a.m. at Kuhio Beach, near the Duke's statue, followed by scattering of ashes.
