93, passed away on December 16, 2016, in Honolulu. Uncle Yei is survived by wife, Yoshie (Miyashiro) Higa (Aunty Jane), nieces and nephews. He was born in Camp Amaulu, Hilo, served in the U.S. Army, retired as a Supply Manager at Kaneohe Marine Corps Base and was a former active member of Gushikawa Shijin Kai. He and Aunty Jane were longtime residents of Kaneohe before their recent move to Waipahu. Private services held.
