Leonard Kaleolani Lum
Leonard Kaleolani Lum Leonard Kaleolani Lum passed away unexpectedly Dec 7, 2016 in Las Vegas. Born Aug 28, 1947 to Henry & Grace Lum of Honolulu, Leonard was preceded in death by his father, Henry. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kathleen (Mihlbauer); sons: Jayson, Chris (Amy (Calvillo), and Kekoa; mother, Grace (Carter); two sisters, Harriet (Pua) Jones (Bucky), Carol Harris (John); brother Michael (Anne (Mendez); and grandsons Gavin & Jaxon. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Leonard graduated from St. Louis High School in Honolulu, then attended San Jose Junior College and served in the US Army. He later excelled at numerous endeavors including owning and developing a wholesale/retail window covering company and a well-established and prominent contracting company. His final career move was working with Hawaiian Ocean Transport/ American Fast Freight. He worked with them 11 years-first in Honolulu then Las Vegas. Len was an avid golfer and long time member of MidPac Country Club. With the promise of many more golf courses to tackle in Las Vegas, Len and his wife moved to the "ninth" island in 2013. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday Feb 10 from 5-8 PM at Kalama Beach Club in Kailua. Casual attire. In lieu of flowers, a single lei. His ashes will be scattered in a private ceremony.
