Steve was born on January 20, 1959 in La Crosse, Wisconsin and was a Mechanical Engineer with the Facilities Department at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe. He was predeceased by his parents Jay and Jeanne (Hengel) Butala. Steve is survived by his wife Felicia, daughter Amelia, and his furry best friend Sadie; brothers Jay (Janet) of Waco, Texas, John (Josephine) of Holman, Wisconsin, and Mark of Olympia, Washington; sisters Patty of Wheaton, Illinois, Terese Peterson (Gary) of Onalaska, Wisconsin and Mary Carlson (John) of Wheaton, Illinois. His wonderful life will be celebrated on February 20, 2017, 12 noon at Kalama Beach Club in Kailua. Casual attire please.
