64, longtime resident of Mililani, Hawaii, passed away in Seattle on January 29, 2017. She was born May 18, 1952 at Barksdale AFB in Louisiana and received her B.A. from the University of Houston before meeting her husband and moving to Hawaii. She worked as Letters of Credit Supervisor at Central Pacific Bank for many years before relocating to Houston, TX to be near family. She is survived by her parents Hamako and Woodrow McClelland, husband Howard Ban (separated), daughters Tiffany and Tracy Ban and 7 younger siblings. Emily loved food, nature and travel, and always took pride in everything she did. Her ability to always be kind inspired all that knew her and she will be sorely missed. A celebration of her life will be held at the dining hall of Brazos Bend State Park near Houston, TX on March 19, 2017 at 1:00 pm.
