74, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2017. She was a loving wife, mother and doting grandmother. She was born in Aiea on June 9, 1942. She grew up in Aiea and graduated from Waipahu High School. She retired from Delta Airlines as a Cargo Department secretary after 33 years of service. She will be forever loved and truly missed by her family and friends. Taking an early retirement prior to the birth of her first grandson, she would fly to Las Vegas for weeks at a time not only to visit her grandchildren but to play her favorite video poker machines. She also loved to travel to Japan with her friends to enjoy the food and shopping. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Kenneth, two daughters, Dale (Ward) Yamamoto of Aiea and Debbie (Tracy) Shinogi of Henderson, Nevada. She was the proud grandmother of Quinn Yamamoto and Mitchell & Mia Shinogi. She is also survived by her siblings Katherine Tanaka, Richard Ohira and Shirley Moriki, Brother-in-law, Stanley Miyasato and Mother-in-Law, Sadami Kimura. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Masaichi and Yukimi, her sisters, Lillian Miyasato and Dorothy Yoshizumi. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Nuuanu Mortuary.
