Dorothy Ann Edinger Hill, known to friends as "Dottie", passed away on April 25, 2017 in Honolulu at the age of 87. Born in Stockton, California on April 5, 1930. Dottie grew up in California and graduated from San Jose State University where she met David J. Hill who was a hasher at her Gamma Phi Beta sorority. Dave and Dottie were married in Burlingame, California in 1953 and moved to Honolulu shortly thereafter. David would work at and manage Canlis restaurant for 28 years. Dottie, a homemaker for several years would go on to work at Punahou School for 27 years. Dottie was a very proud member of Gamma Phi Beta and was a true friend to her sorority sisters. She also enjoyed her work on behalf of the Outdoor Circle. She is survived by her husband of 63 years David J. Hill, son Dwight "Skip" Hill, daughter Lori Hill-Talbot and 3 grandchildren; Ronson, Taylor and Haley. A Private ceremony will be held at the family home.
