Age 88, passed away at home in Kaneohe on March 20, 2017. He was born on Oahu, July 20, 1928; raised in Kohala, Hawaii; graduated from Kamehameha Schools in 1948; and, a member and sensei of the Kaneohe Aikido Club for over 50+ years. Preceded in death by wife Matilda Emalia Hookano Naipo. He is survived by CHILDREN - Garry (Aliiolani) Naipo, Gene Naipo, Jr., Glenn (Debora) Naipo, Lyanne Kapiolani (Dan) Binkauski, Leina (Vaughn) Daniel; GRANDCHILDREN - Paoakalani (Kari) Naipo, Isaac Naipo, Casey (Bridgitte) Daniel; Sanford (Lenei) Naipo, Duana (Daniel) Lester, Noah (Jennifer) Naipo, Cory Daniel, Clint Daniel, Kamaehu (Kealohi) Naipo, Stephanie Naipo, Christopher Daniel, and Cody Daniel; GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN - Michael, Kamiko, Keikilani, Kealani, Kainoa, Emalia, Kailee, Iverson, Tarryn, Aria, Maiya, Kendall, Cassandra, Haweo and Pueopoki'i; and, SIBLINGS - Healani Rogers, June Aloha (Stan) Shimoda, Calvin Naipo, Sr., Merrill (Jean) Naipo, Ollney (Naomi) Naipo, and Iwalani (Sonny) Tsai. Services will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Borthwick Mortuary's Maunakea and Vineyard Chapels in Honolulu, Visitation 9:00am-11:00am, Service 11:00am- 12:15pm. Burial to follow at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetary at Peace Garden at 1:00pm.
