82, passed away at her home in Kailua, Hawaii, on March 28, 2017. Betty was born in Florence, South Carolina, on August 4, 1934, to Hallie Barnes and Jacqueline Revell Barnes. She was a registered nurse and retired after 20 years as head nurse at Pohai Nani Retirement Hospital. Betty's parents, her husband, Joseph Makaena Taitano, and her brother, Rodney, predeceased her. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Keolani, sister, Diane Pratt, nephews Michael Taitano, Corky and Chad Pratt, nieces, Skylar and Sadie Pratt, and sister-in-law Maydell Taitano. A private service will be held in June.
