April 28, 1920 - May 17, 2017. Edith Matsuyo Sonoda, 97, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on May 17, 2017 at Kuakini Geriatric Care (Hale Pulama Mau). She was born in Honaunau, South Kona, Hawaii. She was preceded in death by her husband George K. Sonoda and her daughter Joyce Y. Suga. She is survived by her son Steve T. Sonoda (Teresa), daughter Diane Y. Maruyama Sonoda (Donald K. Maruyama), granddaughter Carin M. Higuchi (Byron), grandson L. Michael Suga, great-grandson Gage K. Higuchi and son-in-law Lawrence M. Suga. Private services.
