GRACE SAKIKO KONNO
Grace Sakiko Konno, 96, former bookkeeper at Hide's Service gas station, known for the flowers she always wore in her hair, and great big smile, passed away peacefully at the Kuakini Hale Pulama Mau care home on May 14, 2017, Mother's Day. She was born in Honolulu on May 27, 1920, the first child of Yataro and Tsuneo Ojima. Survived by sons, Ronald Kobayashi (Sigrun), Ken Kobayashi (Kathleen), Preston Konno (Tina); daughter Blanche Wastell (Stewart); brother Walter Ojima (Yuri); sisters, Margaret Ojima, and Agnes Fujii (George); 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren. Visitation: 10:00 a.m.; Services: 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Borthwick Mortuary, Makai Chapel. Burial: 2:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery. Casual attire. No flowers.
