John Elmer Carey, July 9, 1925 - June 8, 2017. John, a lifelong resident of Madison, WI spent his winters in Hawaii since 1988 when he ran in the Marine Corps Marathon and visited the USS Arizona Memorial. He enjoyed the Hawaiian Open, the Pro Bowl and climbing Diamond Head. Most of all he enjoyed the parades and marching with other veterans. John loved his Hawaiian friends. He spoke often about returning. His daughters, Louise, Ramona and Veronica would like to thank his friend, Les and others that kept in touch.
