86 years old. Born in Kamuela, HI peacefully passed in his Palolo home on June 17, 2017, gaining his wings through the gates of heaven to be with our father Jesus Christ. He was a Korean War Veteran in the United Armed Forces and a 50 year retiree with the Operator Engineers Local 3 Union as a heavy equipment operator. He was an avid fisherman, farmer, and family man. He is survived by his wife Rowena Tarpley, 5 children, 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He will be celebrated on July 26, 2017 at Borthwick Mortuary 10am-1:30 pm with burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery at 2pm
