FRANCIS WALLACE AMONGFrancis Wallace Among, 86 years young, passed peacefully on Sunday, July 2, 2017 in Honolulu. He was born June 25, 1931, the 6th of Henry and Mary Among's ten children. He "graduated early" from McKinley HS and was a self-taught man. Whether it was surfing, working for BWS, playing the bass, diving for squid, fixing the family cars, winning bowling league jackpots, or perfecting his beautiful golf swing, he often figured things out in his unique way. He was a loving husband, an awesome dad and an even better "Papa." Survived by Wife Arlene M. Among, Daughter Dolly (Jim) Swiger, Sons Frank Among, Pat (Rita) Among, Mike (Janine) Among, Sisters Helen Chong and Winona Choy, Brother Denis "Kuki" Among. Eight grandchildren: Shawna, Saundie, PJ, Reed, Ashley, Koa, Kahiau and Ka`eo. Three great-grandchildren: Josh, Mikey and Keeley. Services will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Kualoa Ranch, 49-560 Kamehameha Hwy., Kaneohe, 96744. Visitation: 3-5pm. Service: 5-6pm. Celebration of Life: 6-9pm.

OSEAS KALANA BALOYOT 60, born May 1, 1957, passed away from a longtime illness. Kalana, as most of his families and friends would call him, was born in Waimea, Kauai. Kalana was the son of the late Oseas L. and Margaret Baloyot. He is survived by his son David Baloyot of Waianae, his daughter Malia Baloyot of Honolulu, his granddaughter Marley of Honolulu, his brother Ray and Kathi Baloyot of North Carolina, his sister Roseline and John Allport of Las Vegas, as well as many other families. Kalana was known for his humor, thoughtfulness and generosity. Kalana was loved by many and will be dearly missed. No services are scheduled.

HERBERT Herbert "Bozo", "Abo" M. Lee answered God's calling peacefully on June 7, 2017. He was 85 years old. He was born in Waimea, Kauai to Robert Ah Hoy Lee (deceased) and Elizabeth (Medeiros) Correa (deceased). He graduated from Waimea High School then attended Honolulu Technical School before being drafted into the U.S. Army as part of the Korean War. After serving his time, he started his career at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard where he retired 37 years later as a General Foreman. For the next five years he worked as a Quality Control Manager at Contract Management Company and finally at City Mill, Hawaii kai as a Sales Associate for 14 years. He is survived by his wife of 63 years (Thelma), sons Herb Jr. (Wendy) Owen (Gabrielle) and daughter Dana Turner; brothers Robert (from Japan), George and sister Elizabeth Eguchi (Miami, Florida); six grand- children and six great grand- children. Services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, 4470 Aliikoa Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96821. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am followed by Rosary and Mass at 11 am to 12noon. Burial will be a Diamond Head Memorial Park at 2pm.

Tomeko 87, died peacefully of natural causes on July 6, 2017. She was born June 7, 1930 in Kofu City, Yamanashi Ken, Japan. Tomeko immigrated to the United States with her first husband, RADM James M. Peters. She graduated from Park University in Missouri before coming to Hawaii with her two children. After her divorce, she worked in local television and radio, before shifting to a career in advertising. While both were employed at KHVH, she met her life's partner, Jack S. Kellner, who was a wonderful second father, loved by both her children. They were married for nearly 50 years, before Jack's passing in 2012. Although English was her second language, she was extremely successful in advertising as media director and account manager for several advertising agencies such as Lennen & Newell and Bozell & Jacobs/ Pacific. She was Advertising Manager for Servco Pacific and then, Duty Free Shoppers.She was a consultant to Suntory International and Louis Vuitton in Hawaii. Honolulu Magazine once named her "Adwoman of the Year." Tomeko is survived by her son, James "Aki" Peters, daughter, Betty Perry Santos (Wayne), grandsons Jeffrey (Kari Ann) and Jason Peters; Jordan, Dallas, and Wayne (Akolea) Santos. Helen L. Medeiros September 20, 1934 - December 3, 2016 Fremont, CA Loving wife, mother, grand- mother and great grandmother, Helen "Sister" Lei Medeiros passed peacefully at the age of 82 in Fremont CA.. Helen was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Helen & Charles Hopkins and raised in Lanikai, HI. "Sister" embraced the "Aloha Spirit" with love, compassion and warmth, for her Ohana.
