Samuel Paguirigan Domingo, Jr.
Samuel Paguirigan Domingo, Jr.Samuel Paguirigan Domingo, Jr., 65, of Honolulu, Hawaii, died June 13, 2017, in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. His wife, Frances of 46 years was at his side. He was born on June 21, 1951 in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, the son of the late Samuel Villa Domingo Sr. and Macaria Paguirigan Domingo. He was the only child. On September 5, 1971, he married Frances Ordinado Domingo. He came to Hawaii when he was 17 years old and graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1973 with a degree in Medical Technology. He briefly worked at Sida Taxi as a dispatcher at the airport while attending UH and after graduation he worked as a medical technologist at St. Francis Hospital and then at The Honolulu Medical Group. He moved to Straub Clinic and Hospital's Tilden Lab in 1977 and worked there for over 25 years at the S. King St. location, initially as a med tech and then as the laboratory evening shift supervisor. He also worked part time at Kaiser Hospital at Moanalua until 2000. In 2004, he left Straub to work on his printing business full-time with his wife, Frances. S&F Printing became a household name in the Filipino Community especially in Kalihi where their print shop was located. In 2016, Samuel and Frances retired from the printing business. He is survived by his wife, Frances Ordinado Domingo, daughter Jo Anne Domingo Lemus and son-in-law, Abel, daughter Jennifer Domingo-Smith and son-in-law Dana Smith, son Jay Domingo and daughter-in-law Emylie, and son Jeremy Domingo and daughter-in-law Pamela, grandchildren Isabel and Alyssa Lemus, Ronin Ganoot, Vance Smith and Ayden Domingo-Smith, Peighton Domingo, Maxemilion, Miamor and Meredith Domingo. First day of funeral services will be held on Thursday July 27, 2017 at Borthwick Mortuary Maunakea Chapel. Visitation 5 PM, Service 6:30 PM. Second day of funeral services will be held on Friday July 28, 2017 at Borthwick Mortuary Maunakea Chapel. Visitation 9 AM, Service 10 AM. Burial will follow at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park Cemetery at 11 AM.
