Ronald 80, of Wahiawa, passed away peacefully at home on June 11, 2017. Ronald, also known as "Hapa" and "Happy", was born in Waipahu on April 7, 1937 to Jiro and Kami (Kana Yonamine) Agena. He is survived by his wife, Irene Agena; son, Kevin (Megumi) Agena; daughter, Eileen (Taesun) Kim; grandchildren, Lauren, Kyle and Ashley; brothers, William, Kiyoshi, and Lawrence; sisters, Lynette Ching and Erma Tahata. Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mildred Nakata, Ellen Narramore and Mae Gillespie. Visitation 9:00 a.m.; Service 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017, at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Judith Ann Bayron, 75, of Kaneohe, passed away July 24, 2017. She was born in Honolulu on July 18, 1942 and was a homemaker. Survived by sons, Martin P. Jr., Jonathan P. and Jerome P. Bayron and Brian M. Bayron-Kaae; daughters, Bernadette l. Billaber, Jacqueline A. Rodrigues; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grand- children; brothers, Danny, Douglas, Donald and Darryl Lacno; sisters, Donna Lee, Doris Attwood, Darlene DeMello, Dawn Medeiros. “SUE” HUI SUN BUMGARNER

64, of Las Vegas, Nevada, lost her battle with cancer and passed away surrounded by her family on May 24th, 2017 at University Medical Center in Las Vegas. Born February 25, 1953 in Daejon, South Korea, she immigrated to the United States in 1971 and was happily married to Ronald Bumgarner for 47 years. A hard working home maker, wonderful mother and loving grandmother she loved to cook for family, friends and neighbors. Some of her most popular dishes included spam fried rice, spicy pork, fried chicken and lasagna. But her most requested dish was her homemade kimchee. Everyone who had the chance to try it always said it was the best that they had eaten. After becoming a US Citizen in 1978, her passion was to demonstrate her love of this country by participating in every election she was eligible for. Whether in California, Texas, Missouri, Hawaii or Nevada she looked forward to each day that she could make her voice count. She is survived by her husband, Ronald of Las Vegas, Nevada, her two sons, Wayne and Roy of Honolulu, Hawaii, three grandchildren, Payton, Kenzo and Koji, daughter-in- law, Jennifer and brothers, Hui Man Pak and Hui Myoung Pak of South Korea. A celebration and remembrance of her life will be held on Sunday, August 6th 2017 from 3:00 6:00 P.M. at Ke'ehi Lagoon Memorial Park located at 2685 North Nimitz Hwy.

Dean Spalding Frazier, “Deano”

DEAN SPALDING FRAZIER, DEANO 78, of Mililani, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2017 in Mililani, HI. He was born on April 13, 1939 in Honolulu, HI. He outlived parents, Ira "Dale" Stockdale and Myra Kealoha Keau Frazier, along with daughter April Joyce Frazier. He leaves behind his family including wife, Nancy, daughters, Amelia (Ronald) Jose, and Natalie (Kyle Aing) Frazier, along with grandaughters, Riley and Ronni Jose. Dean was a graduate of Punahou School and West Point Military Academy. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a retired Math teacher at Aiea Intermediate School. Dean enjoyed skydiving, scuba-diving, golf, astronomy and physics. A Celebration of Life and Paddle Out will be held on Sat. Aug. 5, 2017, Pilila'au Rest Camp, picnic area at 11am. 96, of Honolulu peacefully passed in his sleep on July 2, 2017. He was born in Pepeekeo. He proudly served in the 442nd RCT 552nd FAB and retired from civil service at Ft Shafter. He is survived by his children: Dean (May Huang) Fujiwara, Paula (Gary Skiles) Fujiwara and Jill (Troy) Aylor; 3 grand- children, 1 great grandchild and his siblings, Teruto Fujiwara (brother) and Tokie Nakano (sister). He was preceded in death by: Ann N Takaki (wife), Guy Y Fujiwara (son) and Harry I Fujihara (brother). Memorial service 10 am on Saturday (August 5) at Hosoi Mortuary. JAMES T. HIRATAJames Hirata, 89, of Mililani, Hawaii went home to be with the Lord on July 9, 2017. He was born on April 13, 1928 in North Hilo, Hawaii. James was an elementary school teacher in Hawaii and Garden City, New York for 37 years until his retirement in 1991. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Emiko Hirata. He is survived by his three daughters; Carrie (Michael) Neller, Candy (Wynn) Shirai, and Caren Hiner; sisters, Helen (late Teruo) Yoshida, Chieko (late Hisami) Fujita, and Mildred (Charles) Nakamura, brother, Minoru (Margaret) Hirata; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. His celebration of life will be held on August 5, 2017 at Olivet Baptist Church in Honolulu. Visitation at 10:00 am followed by a service at 11:00 am. Inurnment service private.

Mordecai Hunt Hudson, Jr.

88, of Waianae, passed away peacefully on Father's Day, June 18, 2017 in Honolulu. Mordecai was born in Frankford, Delaware; served in the United States Marine Corps; and was a retired federal firefighter stationed at Hickam Air Force Base. On April 10, 1949, Mordecai married Ruth Michiko Yamamoto and lived many years in Waipahu where they brought up their children. In retirement, he and Ruth moved to Waianae where he started Hawaiian Orchid Nursery. Every day at 4:30 p.m., it was pau hana time and he could have his beer and snacks. He was an avid and knowledgeable orchid grower for most of his life in Hawaii and was the Honolulu Orchid Society's Orchidist of 1968; he was also a Channel 16 UH sports fan, especially volleyball. Mordecai also believed in assisting others by being a member of the Hawaiian Lodge, Honolulu York Rite Bodies, Aloha Shriners and Honolulu Scottish Rites. He was Ruth's sole caregiver for many years after she was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Mordecai is survived by children Mordecai Hunt III (Mary), Sharon Lee (Berton) Kato, and Ronald James (Patricia); seven grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; sisters Helen Murray, Jacqueline Tingle, and Shirley (George) Fisher; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Ruth Michiko, parents Mordecai and Helen Hudson, Sr. and sister Jane "Betty" Lynch. Private military ceremony and inurnment were held on July 28, 2017 at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl, where Mordecai and Ruth are now together again, this time forever.
