Survived by wife June Miyasaki Asato, daughter Susan and son-in-law Ryan Takakawa of Aliso Viejo, CA, son Kevin of Mililani, brothers Thomas of Torrance, CA, John of Torrance, CA, George of Garden Grove, CA, Frank of Lakewood, CO, Wallace of Waipahu, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by parents Yeihan & Tsuruko Asato. Graduated from McKinley High School and attended the University of Hawaii and Loyola University in Chicago. He was General Manager of a dental supply & consulting company in Honolulu, Executive Director of Hawaii Okinawa Center in Waipahu, and Hawaii State Director of the 2000 Census. One of the founders and the first president of Mililani Hongwanji which is celebrating its 40th Anniversary in 2017; also active with the Honpa Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii. Member of Kitanakagusuku Sonjinkai and Aloha-Ohana Parliamentary Unit and the Hawaii State Association of Parliamentarians. Visitation 9:30am, Memorial Service 11:00am, Sunday, August 6 at the Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Casual/Aloha Attire. No flowers.

Throughout her adventurous life, Phyllis loved God, lived her convictions, and demonstrated unconditional love for everyone. She is survived by her son Eesha, daughter Swasti, 3 grandchildren (Jaime, Bailey, & Kennedy), and sister Sylvia Eorio. JOHANNA “JOJO” ELIKOLANI LENCHANKO CORREA

JOHANNA JoJo joined the Lord on July 4, 2017 from her home in Kuli'ou'ou with her husband, children, grandchildren, and family and friends at her side. She was born to John and Angeline (Kea) Lenchanko on May 15, 1943 in Kalihi Valley where she was raised with her 17 siblings. She attended St. Theresa school and graduated from St. Francis High School in 1961 where she served as student body president. She attended the University of San Francisco while working at the telephone co. This time in her life was filled with many wonderful memories and friendships that would last the test of time, the best of which in finding her husband to be Edward "Butch" Correa in 1963. They married home in Hawaii in 1966 then headed to Fort Knox Kentucky where the first two of their five children were welcomed. Returning to Hawaii in 1970 they replanted their roots in Kuli'ou'ou, raised their five children, and enjoyed 51 years of marriage. JoJo held various jobs, particularly enjoying her work with community while at the Hawai'i State Legislature and the Honolulu City Council. Her true joys were being with family, serving the church, and sharing her love of music. JoJo was an active and faithful member of Holy Trinity Church where she served on several ministries, the HTC neocatecumenal way community and the Kuli'ou'ou Rosary Group. She built her life on faith, hope and love and provided that space for everyone she encountered. JoJo will always be our loving wife, mother, tutu and friend. Her unwavering faith, nurturing nature and soulful voice will inspire us always. She is survived by her husband Butch, sons Edward III (Lyn), John (Sandra), Michael, and daughters Angela (Meki) and Mary-Lindsey "Kaliko"; 10 grand-children: Kainoa, Kala'e, Tuan, Kumakani, Lanakila, Lexi, Kalikolani, Kaiohu, Francesca and Makamae; Lenchanko brothers: John "Sabu" (Marion), Herbert, Bernard (Irene), Michael, Robert "Mano" (Nora), Felix, Anthony; Sisters: Geraldine Camara, Katherine (John) Frederick, children of Isadora Tai(d), Rosalie Lenchanko, Elizabeth (Clinton) Coelho, Monica Torres, Tanya (Guy) Takamiya; treasured Correa brothers and sisters; 97 nieces and nephews whom she truly loved, the loving Kea and Reeves 'ohana, and many beloved friends. She spent part of her married life travelling the world as a military wife before settling down in Waipahu. After raising her children she worked and retired as a garment cutter at Mukai Fashions. In retirement she could be found supporting her grandchildren at their many sports and dance events. She also enjoyed travelling to Las Vegas. She is survived by her husband Herman, son Steven, daughter Karen (Roy) Shindo, grandson Grant Shindo and granddaughter Darcy Shindo Private services held.

He served 20 years in the Army during the Korean and Vietnam War and retired from Pear Harbor Naval Base Police Department after 17 years. DR. VIRGIL R. JOBE JR. DR. VIRGIL R. JOBE JR. Dr. Virgil R. Jobe Jr., a physician with Straub Clinic and Hospital for over 40 years, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2017. Dr. Jobe was a Fellow of the American College of Radiology, as well as the Radiological Society of North America, an honor bestowed upon less than 10% of the Radiologists in the United States. He also served as the Hawaii Counselor for the American College of Radiology, as well as the Radiological Society of North America, and was previously President of the Hawaii Radiological Society. Dr. Jobe was a Assistant Clinical Professor of Radiology at the John A. Burns School of Medicine, and served as the liaison between the School of Medicine, and Straub Clinic and Hospital. As such, he was in charge of the teaching of the medical students in Radiology. Dr. Jobe participated in the National Cancer Institutes' study on breast parenchymal patterns and breast cancer. He was also one of less than 300 physicians certified by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, as demonstrating proficiency in classifying radiographs of occupational lung disease, and was usually the only certified individual in the State of Hawaii in that area. Dr. Jobe was on the Board of Governors of the Honolulu Medical Society. He was active in Pu'ulu Lapa'au, serving as a member of the Board of Director's of that organization, dedicated to promoting the health of physicians, and public safety. Prior to retirement, Dr. Jobe served as the Radiation Safety Officer for Straub Clinic and Hospital for many years, in charge of the oversight of x-ray radiation safety, and nuclear medicine radioactive isotope safety. At Straub, he had also served as Chairman of the Department of Radiology. Prior to doing his internship at the Queen's Medical Center, Dr. Jobe received his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma. During his residency at UCLA, he was also asked to be the Medical Doctor on several movie sets. In 1967, he returned to Hawaii to join Straub Clinic and Hospital. Resulting from a deep interest in the martial arts since childhood, Dr. Jobe received many national and international awards in martial arts. He was also very active in the local tennis community, and a long time member of the Outrigger Canoe Club. He is survived by sons, Ikaika, Sean (Jessica), and Micah Jobe. He is also survived by siblings, Dr. William L. Jobe, John R. Jobe, Sally Jean Jobe, and Judi Jobe. Services for Dr. Jobe will be held at Holy Trinity Church on Thursday August 3, 2015, at 6pm. Private internment will be at Punchbowl Cemetery, on Friday, August 4, at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers and gifts, donations to honor Dr. Jobe can be made to the Dr. Virgil R. Jobe Memorial Fund, c/o Straub Foundation, 55 Merchant Street, Suite 2600, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813.
