La'akea, 42, passed away at home on August 2, 2017. He was born in Honolulu on March 20, 1975 and was the Senior Operations Manager, Hawaii for Destination America. He is survived by his mother, Verna Nakanelua Makanani; father R. Kawika Makanani; uncles, aunties and cousins. Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 19, 2017.
