Age 85, of Mililani, Hawaii. Born in Kaneohe, Hawaii on August 4, 1932. Passed away July 17, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents George G. Costa and Julia P. Cummings Kawamura and former husband Robert K. Ellis. Survived by siblings George G. Costa, Jr., Albert D. Costa & Mary Louise Leina'ala DeCarlo. She is also survived by her children Curt (Lesley) Ellis, Minneapolis MN, Carol (Erwin) Soares, Mililani HI, & Sue (Tom) Schank, Fort Walton Beach FL. Also nieces, nephews, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Barb worked for many years at UARCO and the Iroquois County Courthouse in Watseka, IL while raising her family in Milford, IL. She was an expert seamstress and enjoyed making clothes for all of her kids. Barb was also very athletic and highly competitive. As such, she enjoyed sports and was very good at golf and bowling. She was proud to be Woman's Golf Club Champ at Shewami Country Club, in the summer of 1975. Barb (Siki) retired to her native Hawaii in 1984 and continued to enjoy golf and working in her gardens, while keeping up and staying busy with her grand- children and great grandchildren. She was also content to be back home with her trade winds. Memorial service 11 am, Wednesday Aug. 30, 2017, with visitation 1 hour prior.
