71, died peacefully at home on August 8, 2017. He is survived by his life partner Sheryl Sunia; sons Alfred Kalaau Jr. (Pebbles), Sean Kalaau, and James Kalaau- Sunia (Lisa); grandchildren Alessa, Jamie, Jayla, Alepeleke, and Jaelyn. He is also survived by his sisters Marjorie Manosa (Allen), Martha Macfarlane (Walter), Holly Kim and brother Francis W.S. Kim and numerous nieces and nephews. A graduate of Waianae High School, and Chaminade University. Alfred served three years in the U.S. Air Force. After military service, he returned to Honolulu and joined the Honolulu Police Department until his retirement in September 1992. Family and friends were Alfred's highest priority and he touched the lives of so many people throughout his years. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Nuuanu Mortuary. Visitation: 3:00 p.m.; Services: 5:00 p.m. Aloha attire.
