Marietta passed away on August 24, 2017, at St. Francis Hospice in Nuuanu. She was born on August 2, 1936, in Honolulu, to Etta Lee and Stanley Kong. She was married to the love of her life, Peter K. Kaeo, Sr., for over 50 years, who she supported as a decorated Army Officer for over 25 years. She is survived by her Son Peter K. Kaeo, Jr., and her daughter Kim Kaeo Leonillo, and had two grandchildren - Katie Daly and Mary Daly. She is also survived by her siblings Rosetta Lum, Patricia Lopez, Antoinette Woolley, and Richard Lopez, Jr., and numerous nieces and nephews. Marietta resided in Mililani from 1974, and was a dedicated teacher with the Hawaii State Department of Education in schools in that area. She was also a member of St. John Apostle and Evangelist Catholic Church in Mililani, where she attended Mass daily and was active in many ministries. Services will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at St. John Apostle and Evangelist Catholic Church in Mililani. Visitation from 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. Casual attire please.
