Bernice Lum Wong

Bernice Lum WongPeacefully passed away on August 10. She was 101 years of age. Bernice blessed us with her unconditional love and dedication to Jimmy, her husband who passed away in May. She will be remembered for her magical smile, positive attitude and kind words for all. She was renowned for her cooking and particularly her chiffon cake. Her fruit cakes and crochet pot scrubbers were eagerly awaited at Christmas time. She enjoyed playing mahjong with friends and singing songs such as pat-a-cake with young children. She lived life as a beautiful and loving person. A graduate of McKinley High School, class of 1934, she was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and auntie. She is survived by her sons, Dennis, Michael and Leo, six grandchildren and two great- grandchildren, as well as a brother, Bruno and a sister, Marietta. In honoring her request, services will be private. Arrangements Provided By: HOSOI GARDEN MORTUARY
