Age 89, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Utulei, American Samoa and was an entrepreneur in the tourism industry as an ambassador of Aloha, making and selling leis. She also worked for Hawaiian Tuna Packers and Dole Pineapple Cannery. She was a reflection of God's love and had a servant's heart. She was the epitome of Galations 5:22-23 "... love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control". Maave led by example and was the last matriarch from her generation. She was married to the late Leonardo A. Jamias who loved and supported her. She is the daughter of the late Saei Ava Pagofie (Pavaiai American Samoa) and Amasone Tupuola Saei (Fitiuta Manu'a Islands). She had one sister, Faaliliu Ava Pagofie Paepule and three brothers Saei Ava Pagofie Jr,, Mapu Tuuao Ava Pagofie and Sauaso Saei Ava Pagofie (all who predeceased her). She is survived by four (4) generations: Children: Sons: Trevor Tuiolosega (Ula), Mapu S. Jamias (Noa), Abraham S. Jamias (Pola), Leonardo S. Jamias (Kelly); Hanai Sons - Manu Matautia (Shana), Willie Netane (Shirley), Tausagi Leai; and Daughters: Flowerpot Salas (Juan), Claudia M. Fuata (Louis), Reyne M. Husky (George), Darlene A. Verburg (Brian), Hope L. Bean (Daniel), Corazon 'Suni' Huihui (Henry), Roselina 'Rosey' TJ Stone, Lourdes 'Lorie' M. Jamias-Durso (Andrew), Adelila M. Jamias and a set of twins (deceased), Hanai Daughters - Roberta 'Bobbie Girl' Gomez (Roger) and Andrea Mirafuentes; 67 Grandchildren; 118 Great Grandchildren; 8 Great Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017, at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a reception to follow.
