FREDERICK K. “FRED” DUENNEBIER
Frederick K. "Fred" Duennebier, loving and beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, 73, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2017 with his family by his side. Fred is survived by his wife, two children, and new grandson, as well as his three sisters, one brother, and nieces and nephews. Fred was born in 1943 in Rochester, NY. He graduated from Irondequoit High School, Trinity College, and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, where for over 40 years he enjoyed teaching and research in geology & geophysics. Fred said: "I've had a great life with no regrets and lots of love, fun and satisfaction, wonderful wife and kids, family, friends, and so much fun working that it always surprised me that they paid me to do it. The last ten years have been a bonus; so all in all I'll be leaving this world very content."
