On Thursday, October 26, 2017, the rainbow over Kaneohe, O'ahu got a little more colorful as Denise Akiko Tanaka (Muraki) joined the angels above who were waiting there to hold her hands. She fought the bravest and most courageous mother's fight against breast cancer for four years. Denise will always remain close and deep in the hearts of her husband, Gregg Tanaka, and their two little children, Brenon and Keira. She was the daughter of Clifton and Sharon Muraki and sister to Scott and Kristi Muraki. Harold & Carol Tanaka and Darcie & Donn, Reynn, Torie and Kai Hoshide will miss their daughter-in-law, sister-in-law and aunty. Hawaiian Electric Industries and their leaders will miss their dedicated General Counsel and Charitable Foundation Administrative Assistant. All of her family and friends will miss her constant bright smile, giggles, and happiness while with her husband and children at each holiday event or while just throwing the fishing poles out at the beach. Services will be held on Saturday November 25, 2017 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Visitation: 11 am; Service: 12 pm. Aloha attire. No flowers.
