96, of Aiea, a World War II Army veteran with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team and a retired accountant for Hickam Air Force Base, passed away on November 8, 2017 at home. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart, the Good Conduct Medal, the Battle Star, the European African Middle Eastern Ribbon and the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon. He was born in Lahaina, Maui. He is survived by his wife, Miyoko; son, Earle (Vandi); brother, Benny; sister, Doris Kovack; and grandchildren, Davin, Amber, Aaron and Micah. The family would like to thank caregiver, Evangeline (Vangie) Bringas. Visitation is at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. The service is at 4:00 p.m. Casual attire.
