88, formerly of Honolulu and Kapaa passed away on December 20, 2017. She was born in Honolulu on May 7, 1929. She spent her life as a dedicated wife, mother, educator, and member of the Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Asher; father, Takeo Isoshima; mother, Yoshie (Umeda) Isoshima; and sister, Amy (Isoshima) Kekipi. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Shartzer; son, Greg Asher; brother, Arthur Isoshima; sister Ann (Isoshima) Hanamura; and sister-in-law, Joann (Asher) Cinnamon. She was blessed with three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Kauai at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Andrew's Priory School in Honolulu.

Elaine Y. T. Cho92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Castle Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born in Pahala, Hawaii and was the eldest of four children to the late Satoshi and Masuyo Touchi. Elaine was employed by the Federal Aviation Administration as a Personnel Officer in Honolulu and Tokyo, Japan. After retiring from the FAA, she worked as the Office Manager for former State Representative Terrance W. H. Tom at the Hawaii State Legislature. She was active at the Kaneohe Senior Center for many years. Elaine loved bon dance, singing, playing the piano and going to Las Vegas. She was known for her vivaciousness, generosity and love of life and people. She is survived by her five children, Penelope (Terrance) Tom, Jonathan (Cora) Cho, Alexander (Claire) Cho, Michael (Carol Ann) Cho and Johnna (Wonkoo Chang) Cho, and sister Evelyn Ogata. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Calvary Episcopal Church in Kaneohe. Visitation at 9:00am, Service at 10:00am. Casual/aloha attire. No flowers. Private burial at O'ahu Cemetery.

Her nurturing spirit and endless energy will continue to inspire us, as she always gave and helped others. She was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Wahiawa Ward. She is preceded in death by her son Wayne Ferreira. Louise is survived by her husband of 62 years, John; children: John (Lisa) Ferreira, Charlene (August) Clark, Debra Nahinu, Lori (Hugh) Mueller, Doree (Michael) Coito, Gary Ferreira, Kathy (John) Asam, Ipolani (Keith) Haina; siblings: Bernice Canon, Ronald Travis, Roberta Ochi, Audrey Pakani, and Herbert (Charlotte) Travis; 29 Grandchildren and 38 Great-Grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and many friends.
