FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

PAUL ANDREW ALLARD
Paul Andrew Allard, 93, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018, at the Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, January 23 at Borthwick Mortuary, 1330 Maunakea St, Honolulu, Hawaii 96817. Inurement will take place at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) in Honolulu. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice. Paul was born March 2, 1924, in Sioux City, Iowa to Michael and Emma (Ray) Allard. During WWII, he served in the North African and the European theaters as a member of the U. S. Army Air Corp. After the war, he attended the University of Southern California earning a degree in Engineering. For most of his adult career, he worked for the U. S. Navy in Civil, Industrial, and Maintenance Engineering. Following his retirement, he worked for various construction firms throughout the Pacific. Paul was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Marie Binford, and their daughter Susan Ray Tanabe. He is survived by his two sons, Terry Michael Allard and his wife Beverly and David Brian Allard and his wife Cindy. He is also survived by his second wife, Rosemarie Protacio, and her children, Rosa Say and her husband Kerwin, Jay Protacio and his wife Deborah, Curtis Protacio and his wife Linda, Jeffrey Protacio and his wife Renee, and Becky Lake and her husband Bob. Grand- children from his first marriage are Kyle, Grant, Devin, Brian, Kathryn, Briana, and Stephanie, plus seven great grandsons, one great-granddaughter, and one great-great-grandson. He also grandfathered Rosemarie's grandchildren: Amber, Danny, Kristi, Michelle, Zach, Ashley, Justin, Brooke, Samantha, Jessica, Jayna, plus three great grand- sons and 5 great-granddaughters.
