Ralph Y. Fujii

Ralph Y. Fujii95, passed away on December 30, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Ralph was born on the island of Oahu on October 25, 1922 to Kumaji and Kuni Fujii. Ralph proudly and honorably served with the famed 442nd Regimental Combat Team, Company E, in WWII and was honored with a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and a Congressional Gold Medal. After returning to Hawaii after the war, Ralph worked for the U.S. Federal Civil Service until his retirement. Ralph is survived by his son, Clayton (Mary) Fujii; grand- daughters, Jazmin and Tiffany Fujii; and numerous nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Albert Fujii, Kenneth Fujii, Takeo Fujii, Keiji Fujii; and sisters Yaeko Ogawa, Thelma Inaba, and Kiyo Hirokawa. Military Honors and Inurnment Service for Ralph will take place at the National Memorial Cemetery of The Pacific at Punchbowl on May 3, 2018 at 10:30am.
