FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

WALTER YOSHIO ARASATO
WALTER YOSHIO ARASATO84, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2018. Predeceased by his beloved wife Flora, son Kirk, sisters and brothers. He is survived by son Eric (spouse Leann), and grand- sons Mason and Alexander and sisters Thelma Yamasaki and Myrtle Miyashiro. Class of 1951 Farrington High School, played AJA baseball for Kalihi. He retired as a Supervisor for Hawaiian Telephone Co. after 31 years of outstanding service. He also fulfilled many roles in coaching the youth of Hawaii in baseball with the Police Athletics League, then softball at Kamehameha and Mid-Pac. He was part of the coaching staff that started the wahine softball program at University of Hawaii, then on to Hawaii Loa college where they won the 1991 NAIA softball National Championship which then merged into Hawaii Pacific University. He also worked for Aloha stadium and UH's Les Murakami baseball stadium running the scoreboards. He would even work at the State Legislature from time to time. Visitation on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary, Kaneohe, HI. 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. Inurnment: 2:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
