FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Betty Fiddler
3/24/1924--3/8/2018 Born Gertrude Elizabeth Kalakouluna Charlock on March 22, 1924 in Kaimuki to Wm. H. and Gerdie (Zerbe) Charlock, Jr. Betty grew up, proud of her one quarter Hawaiian heritage, in Kaimuki, Waikiki, Manoa, and Kahala. Graduated Roosevelt High School in 1942. After graduation Betty went to work for Matson and the Bank of Hawaii. A true island girl, Betty enjoyed the beach often, loved the sunsets from Waikiki and Kawela Bay, and Hawaii's "soft" air. In 1948 Betty married Wm. H. (Bill) Fiddler III, raised 3 children together and started "Fiddlers", the business they worked side-by-side from the mid-50's until Bill's death in 2009. Betty loved life! She loved her family first and foremost. She loved parties and champagne, avocados and papayas, her friends, and her new "family" at Arcadia. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bill Charlock III, sister Ginger Bush, husband Bill Fiddler III, and son Bill Fiddler IV. She is survived by her daughter Linda Knutzen (Brian), son Alan Fiddler (Joslyn), daughter-in-law Denise Fiddler, 7 adored grandchildren and 11 gt. grandchildren, 3 nieces, 1 nephew, and several cousins. Celebration of Life will be held at Arcadia Retirement Residence on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
