JAMES KAIAKOHAU KAPUNIAI, JIMMY 96, of Waianae, a retired fireman with the Honolulu Fire Department, passed away on March 3, 2018 at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by daughter, Albertina (Placidus) Schroter; sons, James K. Jr., Raymond L. and John H. (Carmel); and by eight grandchildren, six great- grandchildren and six great- great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Albertina Sicily Kapuniai, and his daughter, Ann Marie Guerrero. Visitation is at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Nanakuli. Funeral mass is at 10:30 a.m. with eulogy and remembrances to follow. Casual attire.
