Maxine Mee San Kim of Kaneohe, peacefully passed away on March 31, 2018 in Kaneohe at the age of 97. She was born in Honolulu on October 13, 1920 to Yong Ho Yee and Bok Cho Koo. She resided in Honolulu, Halawa Heights, and on Maui, eventually moving to Kaneohe, Oahu. A perfectionist and hard worker, she was a very particular housekeeper, marvelous cook, exceptional seamstress, meticulous dresser, and had a wicked sense of humor. She loved her family to the max, preferred spending time with them, and especially enjoyed the ono grinds at their potlucks. Predeceased by daughter Lorna AhYat; ex-husband Joseph Kim Sr.; companion Aloha Sato; a brother and 2 sisters. Survived by son, Joseph (Beverly) Kim Jr.; grandchildren, Darneen (Dexter) Sardinha, Deeneen Akeo, Lester (Cherie) Akeo Jr., Carrlyn AhYat, Joely (Bryan) Chung, Sunny (Grayson) Jeremiah, Kathleen (Walter) Marciel, Francis (Lisa) AhYat Jr.; 21 great grandchildren; 20 great great grandchildren; sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary, April 25, 2018 at 9 a.m.; Services at 10 a.m.; Burial to follow at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery. Casual/ Aloha attire.
