Long time Alaska resident Patricia Gilley passed away peacefully in her home in Honolulu, Hawaii on April 8th, 2018. Patricia first came to Alaska in 1969 as the wife of her first husband Allen Steffen. She worked in the telecommunications industry for 25 years. Her main interests revolved around taking care of her family - which was the most important thing to her. Her first husband, Allen, passed in 1980 and she remarried Jerry Gilley who she was with until his passing in 2015 - he was her partner for more than 30 years. Patricia and Jerry had many adventures together and a happy life, retiring to Hawaii in 2000 where she happily enjoyed the pleasant weather. For the last few years Patricia has enjoyed spending time with her long time and dear friend Debbie Borsche. Patricia was loved dearly by her family and is survived by her son Ted Steffen of Seattle, Washington; daughter Christy Barwick (Tyler Barwick) of Woodinville, Washington; her beloved granddaughters, Natalie and Lillian Barwick; her stepson Patrick Gilley (Sally Hinkley) of Anchorage, Alaska; and her stepson Christopher Gilley of Longview, Washington.
