LESTER PACIFICO DOVERSOLA LESTER PACIFICO DOVERSOLA 85, of Kailua, died on April 17, 2018 with family at his side at Castle Memorial Hospital. A contractor and an original "Waikiki Beach Boy". Preceded in death by wife Joanne and siblings Gordon, Gilbert, Rodney, Jane and Jonathan. He is survived by children: Les, Stephen, Curt and Amanda; brothers: Gaylord and Vernon Rieta and by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He spent his last years in Olomana with son Curt and grandson Keili. Appropriately, the scattering of his ashes will be in front of Duke's in Waikiki at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19th followed by the Celebration of Lester's Life at the Elk's Club on Kalakaua Avenue at noon.

Annie Lau Was given the gift of life over 95 years ago. After a lifetime of hard work, she left us on January 27, 2018. Her new home is awesome the love of long-departed family and friends, endless gardening, doing the New York Times crossword in pen and all the cookies, kau yuk and shrimp she can eat. She is survived by daughter Mahealani Campbell (Richard), son Bill (Celia), 2 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 2 great grandsons, sister Dorothea Hannahs and brother Jacob Lau. Please celebrate "Popo's" life with us, Saturday, May 19, 2018, at St. John's By-the-Sea Episcopal Church, 47-074 Lihikai Dr., Kaneohe. of Honolulu, Hawaii Ruth Ann Weiss, longtime resident of Honolulu, passed away on April 26, 2018. Ruth Ann was born on January 11, 1930 in Providence, Rhode Island. She was the seventh child of Veronica (O'Hare) and William Thorpe. Ruth Ann spent childhood summers on "Thorpe Point" in East Barrington, R.I. which nurtured a love of the sea that prompted her decision to move her family to Honolulu in 1966. Ruth Ann earned her B.S. and R.N. from Mount St Mary College, in Hooksett, New Hampshire in 1951. In a career that spanned forty years, she taught, supervised and inspired excellence in nursing. During her twenty-two years at Straub Hospital, she worked as an Emergency Room nurse and then as the nursing supervisor. Ruth Ann is survived by her children, Mary Lynn Weiss of Richmond Virginia, Mark Weiss and Michael Weiss of Honolulu, her sister, Patricia Wellham and fifteen nieces and nephews. On Thursday May 3rd, in keeping with her wishes, Ruth Ann's ashes were scattered in the waters off the reef in Waikiki.
