94, of Aiea peacefully passed away on May 20, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard "Ike" Kanji Ikemoto. Esther is survived by children Lynette Block (Glenn-deceased), Lurline Dysart (Charles), James Ikemoto (Lynette), Leila Lee (Baron), and Laurie Ishida (Ronald). She was proud of and adored her 14 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren, and was excited about two additional great-grand- children arriving later this year. Esther was extremely generous in spirit and heart, had a miraculous green thumb, and would light up a room with her smile. She also enjoyed singing with family and friends, and sang with great gusto and genuine happiness. Esther accepted others into her life warmly and lovingly, and would generate loads of laughter wherever she went. A graveside service will be on June 21 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Please wear Hawaiian or colorful attire to celebrate an amazing life lived by an extraordinary woman.
