94, passed away peacefully at home in Seattle, WA on May 17, 2018 surrounded by family. Katherine was born in Honolulu on August 8, 1923. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandma, aunty, retired waitress and atomic bomb survivor. She moved to Seattle in June 2016 to live with family. She is survived by her husband, Nihei Sato (96) who currently resides in Seattle; sons: Paul H. Sato and Glenn K. Sato (Sandra); brothers: Henry Shozo Miwa (Emiko) and Lawrence Fumio Miwa (Yuri); six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three nephews and three nieces.
