Preceded in death by parents, Shinjiro and Matsue Matayoshi; husband, Minoru Furugen; brother, Rocky Shinjiro Matayoshi; sister, Lorraine Kiyabu. Survived by 2 sons, Gary Furugen of Kapaa, Aaron Furugen of Kapaa; 3 daughters, Carol Ann Takamoto of Honolulu, Shirley Shibao of Kapaa, Faith Furugen of Honolulu; grandchildren, Scott Takamoto, Kasey Sato, Kalia Gallegos, Faye Duncan, Kai Rodel, Kira Huskey & Kahai Furugen; great-grandchildren, Mason Takamoto, Easton Takamoto, Aiden Gallegos, Micah Gallegos, Kaila Sato, Carissa Sato, Arianna Garan, Erin Tanaka Mathew Rodel & Mia Rodel; 2 brothers, George Matayoshi of Honolulu, Larry Matayoshi of Los Angeles, CA; 2 sisters, Sayuri Vierra of Honolulu, Agnes Ching of Honolulu. Family may visit with the family on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Garden Island Mortuary chapel in Lawai from 10:00am to 10:45 am and services will be celebrated at 11:00 am.
