Age 67, peacefully passed away on July 14, 2018 in Kailua, Hawaii. He was born in Fort Meade, Maryland to Francis and Josephine Gallagher. He graduated from Chaminade College on Oahu, Hawaii in 1973. He met his high school sweetheart Cheryl Parkhurst Gallagher in Singapore and they later married in Honolulu, Hawaii. Mike was a well known member of the Kailua community and was a professional Real Estate Broker for 17 years. He was an active member of Knights of Columbus and St. John Vianney Catholic Church. He enjoyed working with Hospice and Hospital Care Ministries finding great comfort in the act of giving. Mike loved the outdoors, camping as often as he could with family on Kauai and in Colorado. He was an avid gardener and turned their home into a beautiful refuge for the family to enjoy. He is survived by his mother, Josephine Gallagher, wife Cheryl Gallagher, son SMSgt (Ret) Sean Gallagher, wife Stormy and grand- children Seana and Patrick of Colorado Springs, CO.; brother LTC (Ret) Kevin Gallagher of Atlanta, GA. He is preceded in death by his father LTC (Ret) Francis Gallagher of Mauch Chunk, PA. Visitation is scheduled at the St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Kailua on Tuesday, July 24th at 9:30am with a service at 10:30 am with refreshments to follow. All are welcome to come help celebrate Michael's life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
