Honored as one of Hawaii's Living Treasures who enriched our community through her unique talents and selfless giving. A lifelong servant of the Lord, she was very active in her church, St. John Apostle & Evangelist, president of the women's guild for 25 years, and always there to lend a hand arranging flowers at her church. Tina was born in Wailuku, Maui HI. Preceded in death by husband Miguel "Mike" Aguinaldo; parents: Roberto Cabacungan, Dionicia Acoba and 9 older siblings. Survived by children: Gary (Hervina), Sharon (Derwin), Raymond (Karen); Grand- children: Dayna (Nick), Justin (Mika), Jared (Angelina), Keith and Javin; 7 great-grandchildren. JENNIE KALATA PAOA AHNEEAt age 101, JENNIE KALATA PAOA AHNEE "NANA," was called to be with our Lord. Our beloved Grandmother "NANA" passed away peacefully at home, in Kaneohe on July 8, 2018. NANA will be laid to rest beside her loving husband, Samuel G. AhNee Sr. Born August 29, 1916 in Honolulu, Nana and Grandpa were the owners of Pete's Grocery in Kalihi. Nana loved spending time with family, enjoyed her grandchildren and children of all ages so much, that she and grandpa volunteered their time as Foster Parents for several families. Nana enjoyed her weekly visits to McDonalds for her hot fudge sundaes, shave ice and taking trips to Las Vegas. She enjoyed spending time outdoors in her yard with her dogs, chickens & rabbits. Nana's other love included planting fruit trees; bananas, papayas, guava, five finger, bread fruit, avocado, mountain apples and making sure to share them all with the neighbors when ripe and ready to eat. Among other activities, she enjoyed yoga, knitting, crochet, sewing, planting, leisure walks and bus rides with friends, Clara and Barbara. Nana is survived by her grand- children and many great and great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Borthwick Mortuary on Thursday, August 9th, 2018. Visitation: 10:00 a.m.; Services: 11:00 a.m.; Burial: 2:00 p.m. at Greenhaven Memorial Park in Kaneohe.

Reta Laurene Aiello94, passed away on August 14, 2018 at Kuakini Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. Reta was born in Irricana, Alberta in 1924 to John and Esther Kurtz. She then moved to Calgary, Alberta in her teens. She married Louis Aiello in 1948 and has one son Dale Aiello who has lived in Honolulu, Hawaii since 1975. Reta was always remembered for her warm smile and good natured spirit. She walked and swam daily at Waikiki and other beaches which greatly contributed to her longevity and good spirit. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis in 1967. Reta then moved to Kelowna B.C. in the early '70's until 1980 when she came to Hawaii to join her son. Reta is survived by her son Dale and two grandchildren. Christie who lives in Newport Beach, CA and Dean who lives in San Francisco, CA. Reta is also survived by her brother Ted (Marie) Kurtz who lives in Surrey, B.C. and her sister Jean (Lust) who lives in Burnaby B.C. Reta had many nieces and nephews as well. She was also predeceased by brother George (Lila) in 2006 in Didsbury, Alberta. Her body was donated to the UH Medical School in hopes that this donation will help others along the way. Aged 90 of Kailua, Hawaii, died July 18, 2018 at home. Born in Sweden, April 9, 1928. Carl spent his childhood in Miles City, Montana enjoying tennis, cars, carpentry, hunting and fishing. He spent 7 years on the east coast after obtaining a degree in chemical engineering. He relocated to the west coast where he met Yvonne, his wife of nearly 60 years. Moving to Hawaii in 1968, Carl founded Island Instant Printing Centers and Ampaco. He had a passion for golf and could be seen regularly at Mid-Pac Country Club golfing well into his 89th year. On Sundays he was always found at worship. He left a legacy of hard work, faith in God and many meaningful personal and business relationships. Always showing up with a confident, outgoing attitude, bright smile and greetings for all, he positively impacted many lives. Survived by wife, Yvonne Anderson, daughters, Wendy Saito and Kristy Anderson, grandsons, Carl and Anthony Saito, their wives, Nina and Alyssa, granddaughter, Summer Anderson, and five great- grandchildren. Carl was known as everyone's favorite "Uncle Mickey" to his extended Montana family which includes four nieces, a nephew and all their offspring. Memorial services will be held on August 25, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church, 1004 Kailua Road, beginning at 11:30 am and followed by a celebration of life luncheon. Donald Alfred AndrewsLieutenant Colonel Donald Alfred Andrews (retired), born April 16, 1926, died July 31, 2018 at Tripler Army Medical Center. Don grew up in Staten Island, NY and was the youngest of four children born to Mary and William Andrews. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, their three sons and one daughter, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Donald was inducted into the U.S. Army toward the end of WWII, receiving multiple awards and serving honorably during the Korean and Vietnam wars. After retiring from military service, he found his second career as a tennis director for the City and County of Honolulu, where he was a familiar face and friend to many. From the outset, Donald was driven by the desire to promote greater access to tennis throughout O'ahu. His tenacity led to an unprecedented tennis boom; and national recognition for his home site, Diamond Head Tennis Center, as one of the nation's top municipal courts. "We will miss you. Thank you for the joy and impact you made; and the life you brought to your many years." A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. August 20, 2018 at the Honolulu Elks Lodge 616 with a Military Honors Service to be scheduled later. Jo was a caring and humorous individual, an avid bridge player among the Marine Corps Community, an artist, and a caring mother and grandmother. She will truly be missed by all. Services will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Friday September 14 at 10:00 am. Inurnment will be private at Punchbowl National Cemetery.
